SCULPTURE PATH

Monumental murals and sculptures on site made for the Ensenada Scientific Research Center. They are a historical record of the sciences and anthropology of Baja California interpreted by the imagination of the artist. They are engraved to the dry end, woodcuts, linoleographies and drawings made in charcoal and pastel on paper. Its walk begins on the path with nautilus fossils and glyphs painted and engraved on the stones of the caves and walls in the area of San José de la Zorra, in the lower south.

These phonographic and pictographic images are the voice of native stories of indigenous communities. The Kumiai, the Kiliwa, the Paipai, the Cochimí and the Cucapá. They are desert cactus dance, they are Biznaga and Maguey. Its time is circular and linear at the same time. The circular is from a time that returns to its mythical origin that paints and engraves traditions, customs and cosmogony. The linear is that of steel, the copper that engraved on the buril runs to the atom, to the optical fiber to quartz and the science of Internet space. This sculptural path interweave the fossil, the sand, the desert, the molluscs of the sea, and the fauna and flora of Calafia. They are visions of being connected with their time, yesterday, now, and the future. His interpretive journey is open, does not end and each time begins again, as his mythical time resurfaces in multiple interpretations, every time a human being sees and reflects again.
